Jamaica School for Social Entrepreneurship (JSSE) is a hub for social enterprise development in the Caribbean. Founded on December 20, 2013, JSSE aims to assist individuals and community based organizations to develop social enterprise models for their social and environmental missions, while linking them to the tools and resources necessary for greater impacts. With economic development, agriculture and environmental sustainability as core agendas, JSSE also work with communities to implement projects which promote community resilience.
Many organizations with social and environmental initiatives rely heavily on grants and other funding to execute their objectives. Consequently, JSSE aims to support organizations from all backgrounds to create social enterprise models for greater social and environmental outcomes.
We know that individuals and organizations with a sustainable solution to current social and environmental problems can make a world of difference with their impacts. Hence, our goal is to assist with creating a solid social enterprise network for Jamaica and the rest of the Caribbean.
